Processos de importação de neologismos de origem bantu no português de Moçambique

Abstract

This section constitutes the summary of this thesis. Briefly and chapter by chapter, we are going to present the work developed in it. CHAPTER I This work is entitled "Import Processes of Neologisms of Bantu Origin in Portuguese from Mozambique". In this chapter, generically, we refer to the origin of Portuguese and the expansion of the Bantu languages. We analyze the description of the linguistic borrowings of Portuguese in its contact with the Bantu languages ​​spoken in Mozambique. In our hypothesis, we defend the existence of changes in the loans that come into Portuguese from the Bantu languages. CHAPTER II In this chapter we present linguistic borrowing theories in the following aspects: typology, usage strategies, morpho-syntactic integration, grammatical categorization, inflection and the defining criteria of their integration in the target language. CHAPTER III In this 'section the methodology used for the investigation is defined, namely, that which relates to the sources, collection and selection of data, as well as the analysis model to which the sample data were submitted. CHAPTER IV It proceeds in this chapter and based on the theories selected in . chapter II, to the analysis of the data, identifying the "total loans", the "replacement type loans", the "semantic loans"; the sounds present in the Bantu Languages ​​and absent in Portuguese, the discrepancies between Portuguese and the Bantu Languages ​​with regard to inflection and the problem that emerges from it: Bantu Languages ​​flex their lexicon prefixally and Portuguese suffixally. CHAPTER V At this point, the most relevant results of the investigation are condensed: the proof of the hypothesis, the summary of the findings, as well as the recommendations.
