Impactos da covid-19 nos eventos culturais e turísticos: caso do festival do tofo, carnaval municipal e exposição wagaya

Abstract

This monograph is part of the scientific thematic domain of culture and tourism, addressing specifically the impacts of Covid-19 on cultural and tourist events held in the municipality of Inhambane, especially the Tofo festival, Municipal carnival and the Wagaya exhibition. The choice of the topic under discussion was motivated by the general stoppage of cultural and tourist events in the Municipality of Inhambane. Therefore, the research resorted to a descriptive and qualitative approach, essentially relating the following variables: the types of cultural tourist events previously held in the Municipality of Inhambane, involvement of regulatory institutions of tourist and cultural activities; impacts of covid-19 on events over the years in which the phenomenon took place. The results of the research indicate that cultural and tourist events in the Municipality of Inhambane suffered in their entirety, a change in that there was a general stoppage in all tourist enterprises, public squares, bars, restaurants and among other places, where they were exhibited. and consumed. Meanwhile, as strategies used to face the pandemic period in the cultural and tourist events component, the following actions were defined: use of digital platforms to promote these events.(TRADUÇÃO NOSSA)
