Avaliação do efeito de diferentes níveis de espaçamentos no rendimento da cultura de Tomate - Lycopersicon esculentum Mill no Distrito de Vilankulo

Abstract

The tomato plant (Solanum lycopersicum L), is grown almost everywhere in the world and is of great economic importance due to its commercial and social value. Nowadays, agricultural agricultural activity is forced to seek efficiency, in which producers must improve production productive techniques. Thus, the present work aimed to evaluate the effect of different spacing levels on the tomato crop yield in Vilankulo district. The trial was conducted in the months of July to November 2013, in a residence that is 1 km away from the village headquarters village. The experimental design was in randomized complete block design (CBCD) with 3 repetitions and 4 treatments being 4 spacings (0.8x0.3) m, (0.5x0.5) m (0.8x0.5) m and (0.8x0.7) co m 3 blo cos. The variety used was UC, and the variables of study were of fruits per plant, number of fruits in kg, fruit yield per plot, yield in tons per hectare. The treatment (T1) is the treatment with (0.8x0.3) m spacing, the spacing, the treatment (T 2 ) is the control treatment with (0.5 x 0.5) m spacing, the m spacing, the treatment (T 3 ) is the treatment with (0.8x0.5) m spacing and the fourth trial (T 4 ) is the trial with (0.8x0.7) m spacing. The total area of the trial was 85.25 m 2 (0.008525 ha) corresponding to 15.5x5.5 length and width respectively, the distance between the plots (beds) was 0.5 m and between the blocks was 1 m, where each block was 24.75 m 2 corresponding to 5.5 width and 4.5 length. Each block had 4 plots, thus totaling 12 plots in the whole trial. In this work, all the plants were studied. all the plants were studied and there was no border effect. The results were submitted to variance analysis and the DMS test at 5% probability. The different levels of spacing significantly affected the significantly the parameters evaluated. Regarding the variety UC, it is recommended that the plantation less dense planting (0.8m x 0.7m) of spacing is recommended because it was the one that obtained the highest yields. Already to obtain higher yields, the tomato plant should be conducted in a more densely planted (0.8m x 0.3) m or (0.5x0.5) m.(TRADUÇAO NOSSA)
