A evolução da relação entre Autoridade tradicional, Comunidade local e o Poder politico central no distrito de Marracuene,1975 a 2004

Abstract

This study aims to offer a perspective of analysis and interpretation of the evolution of traditional Authorities in their relationship with the local community and central political power in the district of Marracuene in the period between 1975 and 2004. The work is structured in 5 chapters. In the first chapter we focus on the presentation of the dissertation, emphasizing methodological issues; problematic; dissertation objectives and literature review on the object of study; in the second chapter we deal with the origin and evolution of the traditional authorities in the district of Marracuene, their forms of naming and succession; in the third chapter we analyze how the post-independence government legislation affected traditional authorities, and specifically we analyze the probable place of traditional spheres in their relationship with the community and official power. In the fourth chapter, we analyze the forms and strategies of insertion of traditional authorities, in their relationship with the local community and structures of central political power, within the scope of the formal reintegration of traditional authorities in the sphere of local power, implemented with the issuance of Decree n°. 15/2000 of 20 June. We also analyze in this chapter the impact of the implementation of this Decree in the district of Marracuene. And in the fifth and last chapter we present the general conclusions of the study. In this study, we argue that in the period in question (1975 to 2004), the relationship of traditional authorities with formal power structures and with the local community varied over time, depending not only on local circumstances1, but also on the level implementation of grassroots governance policies(TRADUÇÃO NOSSA)
