Abstract: This work was carried out in the Inhamacari forest (Posto Administrativo de Machipanda) in the province of Manica from January to February 2010 with the aim of estimating the growth of Pinus taeda L. using the trunk analysis technique. In order to achieve the proposed objectives, four trees of the dominant stratum with a straight shaft, free from pests and diseases and which had not undergone any silvicultural intervention (shedding) were randomly selected for felling. After felling, the sample trees were sectioned at different heights for making slices / disks that allowed obtaining information on the growth rates in diameter, height, volume and shape factor according to age. In the growth estimate using ANATRO, a sigmoidal growth pattern ˝S˝ was recorded for the diameter and height dendrometric variables; the volume showed unlimited growth in the form of ˝J˝. In the development of growth and increment tables, it was found that at 28 years of age, the variables DBH, height and volume obtained an IMA of, and respectively. As for maximum growth (IMAmáx) it was found that the diameter reached a value of and height, at 21 and 19.5 years respectively. Maximum annual growth in volume has not been achieved as the IMA and ICA curves have not intersected. With regard to the form factor, it showed an irregular behavior over time, with a maximum value of 0.890 and a minimum of 0.208 at 2 years and 25 years respectively. From the data resulting from ANATRO, a growth and production table was constructed that allows visualizing the behavior of diameter, height, cross-sectional area (G), volume and its increments (IMA and ICA) and the shape factor as a function of age. It was assumed that there was no mortality and thinning in the forest in order to be able to calculate the following parameters of the Pinus taeda L. population: density; production in terms of and; and average productivity in terms of and respectively.
