A relevância dos factores sociais escolaridade/profissão na variação linguística do português oral de Maputo- o caso dos complementos oracionais seleccionados pelo verbo dizer

Abstract

The present study intends to analyze the relevance that the social factors schooling/profession play in the linguistic variation of the oral Portuguese of Maputo (pom), starting from the analysis of the sentence complements selected by the verb to say. The study consists of five chapters: chapter i - introduction - the general framework of the research is carried out, the object of study is delimited and the research hypothesis is presented. Develop the study. Chapter ii - bibliographical review - presents the theoretical framework that culminates with the justification of the choice of variationist sociolinguistics for the study of linguistic variation of the pom; the literature review related to the sociolinguistic aspect includes the presentation of some sociolinguistic studies carried out on pm and, finally, the literature review related to the linguistic aspect includes the analysis of some syntactic aspects that occur in Brazilian Portuguese and ends with the presentation of a summary of the studies carried out on Mozambican Portuguese. Chapter hi - research methodology - presents the procedures adopted in the collection of empirical data, the general characterization of the informants, the constitution and organization of the corpus and the codification of the empirical data. Chapter iv - data analysis - presents the linguistic analysis of the data taking into account the rules established in the context of descriptive linguistics of Portuguese, followed by the sociolinguistic analysis in which the correlations of linguistic and social variables are carried out, with a view to validating the our research hypothesis.
