O uso das preposições no português falado em Maputo

Abstract

With this study I intend to analyze the variant of Portuguese spoken in Maputo, regarding the relationship between language and social strata. To take this approach, my concern is at the syntactic level, specifically in the use of the prepositions a, in, and de, in different linguistic contexts. For the relationship between language and social strata, I performed the analysis on four subgroups that belong to different social strata, which were submitted to sociolinguistic inquiries and two tests to be filled with prepositions. The study comprises five chapters, namely: in the first chapter, in addition to the introduction, I present the theme of the dissertation and make a sociolinguistic characterization of the city of Maputo. In the second chapter, I review the literature where I discuss the theoretical assumptions underlying the study. In the third chapter, I present the research methodology. In the fourth chapter, I present the body of data analysis and its respective interpretation. Finally, in the fifth chapter, there are conclusions and some recommendations.(TRADUÇÃO NOSSA)
